User entry is checked against rules in the database itself in order to maintain a database with high integrity. The description of data properties is achieved with lookup codes, which are stored in a separate database and can be edited (not recommended).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most entry forms have a &#8220;Basic Information&#8221; data section on top with a spreadsheet type grid underneath for the entry of one-to-many relationship data; e.g. many water levels or chemistry results for one site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entry forms, examples of which can be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/aquabase.blecher.co.za\/wp\/bwg_gallery\/aquabase-entry-forms\/\">here<\/a>, include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Basic Information<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Groundwater:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Borehole logs: Aquifer, Geology and Penetration rate<\/li><li>Groundwater Properties: Temperature, Electrical Conductivity, Flow Velocity and User-defined Parameters<\/li><li>Discharge Rate<\/li><li>Water Level<\/li><li>Aquifer Testing: Pumping Tests, Testing Details<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chemistry:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Water Samples<\/li><li>Standard Parameters<\/li><li>User-Defined Parameters<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Engineering:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Construction: Hole Finish<\/li><li>Hole Construction: Hole Diameter, Casings, Piezometers, Fill Material<\/li><li>Borehole Properties: Caliper, Dip<\/li><li>Installation (Pump and Reservoir)<\/li><li>Pump\/Engine Details (incl. These include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Time-dependent charts (e.g. water levels, discharges, stage heights, rainfall, chemistry etc.)<\/li><li>Depth-dependent charts (e.g. down-the hole geophysics, electrical conductivity, temperature, pH etc.)<\/li><li>Lithology and hole construction, with depth dependent data option on separate chart<\/li><li>Lithological profile (boreholes along a line)<\/li><li>Chemistry charts (e.g. Piper, Schoeller, Durov, Stiff, pie etc.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The data can also be extracted into a number of reports, examples of which can be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/aquabase.blecher.co.za\/wp\/bwg_gallery\/aquabase-reports\/\">here<\/a>, which can be saved to PDF, RTF, HTML and other formats for further processing or use in documents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aquabase has numerous entry forms to populate the database with water-related data.
