The latest 8.1.6.369 update with a number bug fixes and a few new features is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.
Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.
SO WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?
- When creating Construction/Lithology charts/reports the unit of the penetration rate can now be changed to a more common usage, rather than the default units as per Aquabase preferences. This “Parameter options” setting will also be available for other depth-dependent parameters in future.
- The time-dependent chemistry report now shows only summaries for sites that have more than one sample analysed.
WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED SINCE THE LAST VERSION?
- The depth of hole did not display correctly on top of the lithology due to changes in the maximum number of allowed lithology items. This is now fixed.
- The Construction and Lithology Report raised a conversion error if certain data in some of the tables is missing. This should be resolved now with more checks on the relevant fields.
- The display of some of the buttons was (and probably still is here and there) not consistent across Aquabase. Some of these have been changed to have the same font and glyphs and more will be done over the next releases.
- The Water Level label position above or below the water level line was switched around. This is now rectified.
- The time-dependent chemistry report did not always sort the results according to the order of the sites (SITE_ID_NR). This is now sorted.
- A couple of smaller bug fixes.
