The latest 8.5.1.401 update with a number bug fixes is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.
Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.
THIS UPDATE ONLY CONTAINS A FEW IMPORTANT FIXES?
- A coordinate conversion error could occur if the CRS for the stored coordinates was not correctly selected, e.g. when importing an old Aquabase workspace or importing wrong coordinates (which may be impossible for the set CRS) into the X_COORD and Y_COORD fields. This has been rectified and an additional error message will be generated.
- Trying to set new preferences for a workspace failed as the new PROJ database could not be initialised properly according to the selected country. This is now fixed.
- The “View available Coordinate Systems” dialog was not created properly with the new PROJ database settings. This is also fixed.
- A few smaller bug fixes related to the PROJ database settings.
