The latest 9.1.7.418 update with a few bug fixes and some new functions is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development Programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.
Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.
WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?
- The Login form for connections to server-based databases now allows showing the password in the password field. We are working on storing the password in encrypted form, so watch this space!
WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED SINCE THE LAST VERSION?
- The import of Other Tables function gave a server connection error due to login credentials not carried over to the function from the main database connection. This was not relevant with Geopackage/SpatiaLite databases and was fixed for server type database connections.
- The automatic addition of farm name and number did not work as expected with small letters on PostgreSQL databases resulting in duplication and therefore sometimes field size limit errors. This has been fixed.
- Quite a few smaller bugs were also fixed.
