The latest 9.1.4.415 update with a few bug fixes and some new functions is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development Programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.
Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.
WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?
- The Aquabase settings files for e.g. language, additional chemistry, lookup codes etc. are now workspace-specific to cater for more internationalisation options. The folder, where these are located is therefore stored in the workspace.ini and not as general Aquabase settings as before. You therefore might have to specify your folder location of these settings files again, if they are not in the default location, which is the Aquabase installation folder. Now, even if the settings files are located in the workspace, they will not automatically be used; so if they should be used it needs to be specifically specified in the Aquabase Preferences.
WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED SINCE THE LAST VERSION?
- When adding new sites and moving the mouse over the Site Name / Description field an error occured when the field was still empty. This has been fixed.
- When starting Aquabase a random ListIndex error could occur when checking previously used workspaces. The routine has been changed to capture the error properly and provide user feedback. If not all recent workspaces could be inserted into the menu the list is now cleared and will be again filled as workspaces are opened.
- Aquabase could crash if no Internet connection was available on startup to check for an update. This is now fixed and the search for an update just ignored.
- A few minor bugs were also fixed.
