You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.

Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.

WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?

  1. The “Flag Records” and “Run SQL Script” tools have been improved with SQL help popups with suggestions of table and/or fields while typing. In most cases one can also use the Ctrl-Blank keys to call the popup. Specific SQL terms will also be highlighted and brackets and quotes automatically repeated to prevent missing pairs. The “Flag Records” tool can now also save and load the queries for repeated use. The lines in the editor are now also numberd to make it easier to find errors from error messages.
  2. A new field ROX for Oxidation-Reduction Potential has been added to the CHEM_004 table.

AND WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED SINCE THE LAST VERSION?

  1. Any procedure requiring the listing of views did not work as expected as it ran the procedure more than once, requiring extra waiting time, especially on remote database servers. These procedures have been changed to be more efficient and should be much faster now. At the same time an “Always Ignore” button was added to the error message to prevent further view permission error messages for the Aquabase session.
  2. The Time-dependent Chart Settings dialog filled the “Sites in View” dropdowns when opening the form, which could lead to a couple of seconds waiting time before the form opens, especially if there are many views on remote database connections. This has been changed to only fill the dropdowns when required (on dropdown), dramatically increasing the opening time of the rather comprehensive form.
  3. The Images/Fotos entry form did not move and show pictures of the images table when changing sites. This is resolved.
  4. The chemistry dbf/csv import did not import all values with detection limits correctly or not at all. This is now fixed.
  5. A few smaller bug fixes and optimisations.
