Aquabase Update to Version 9.0.2.406

Aquabase Update to Version 9.0.2.406

The latest 9.0.2.406 update with a whole range of bug fixes and a few new functions is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development Programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.

Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.

WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?

  1. If you have updated your SQLite/Geopackage database AFTER changing all chemistry values of -1 to NULL, resulting in 0 (zero) values instead of NULL, there will be an option to fix the 0 (zero) values back to NULL values when opening the workspace. Unfortunately you will lose all “real” 0 values, e.g. in microbiology, but you could use a previous backup of before the update, if these are important. Also see bug fix 1.) below. This does not affect non-SQLite databases.
  2. The QuickCharts for geophysical profile lines have been re-implemented. The full version of multiple geophysical lines on one or two charts, with the actual sites drilled indicated with an arrow, will follow soon. More geophysical methods like Gravimetry will also be added. (please make suggestions!)

AND WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED?

  1. When applying a new SQLite/Geopackage database format AFTER changing all chemistry values of -1 to NULL the values were changed to 0 (zero) instead of NULL. This is an “old” bug, only appearing now after the -1 to NULL implementation in the chemistry, but is fixed now.
  2. Some keyboard functions and date entry field access on the Import Pumping Test form did not work as expected and have been reworked. Additionally new functionality has been added to the grid: when at the end of the input row and tabbing the record will automatically be posted and a new line started.
  3. The field “collar height” was unavailable for changing when on a dugwell site. It is now possible to enter collars of dugwells.
  4. A few smaller bugs have been ironed out and a few cosmetic changes implemented.
