Aquabase Update to Version 9.0.4.408

Aquabase Update to Version 9.0.4.408

The latest 9.0.4.408 update with a few bug fixes and some new functions is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development Programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.

Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.

WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?

  1. When creating new sites a 11 character UUID (the last 11 characters) can be selected as Site ID Number. Duplication of Site Identifiers with UUID is almost impossible, but can happen and an error message will notify the user accordingly.
  2. When not using a map reference to default to the center of a 1:50000 map when creating new sites the coordinates will automatically default to the center (centroid) of the country of the workspace.
  3. On some forms or dialogs a “NEW” badge will appear to show that some new functionality or visual effect was implemented.
  4. On the new search toolbar it is now also possible to search in fields typically used for codes, like site type, drainage region, equipment and info source.

AND WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED?

  1. When selecting a Schema other than the “public” Schema in PostgreSQL workspaces the search path (search_path) was not correctly set to include the “public” Schema containing the PostGIS extension with the required spatial functions, which caused some triggers to fail. This Schema is now included in the search path.
  2. When adding new sites while other entry forms (e.g. meteorology, construction, stream information) are also open a warning message could occur several times that the site type is not allowing the type of linked information. An access violation could also occur when deleting a site with these forms open. This is resolved and should work as expected.
  3. When changing the Start Date/Time on the “Pumping Test Import” form a message that the date must be before the end date/time appeared although it was before the end date/time. This is fixed.
  4. An error message appeared when opening the “Groundwater Properties” entry form, which is now resolved.
  5. A few smaller bugs were also fixed.
