The latest 9.0.6.410 update with a few bug fixes and some new functions is now available for download (Aquabase will check for an update on start-up) and will require a password to complete the update process. This password is included in an email to subscribers to the Aquabase Support and Development Programme. If Aquabase cannot download the update automatically you can also get it from the Download section of this website. You have to be a registered user to access the individual downloads in this section.
Please read the notes during installation for the latest exciting additions and bug fixes! We (the developers and the users) are constantly working on improving and fixing Aquabase functionality. Please let me know if you find any bugs and/or would like to make suggestions for new functions.
WHAT’S NEW IN THIS LATEST VERSION?
- The user now has a choice whether small letters are allowed in most text fields (except lookup codes and numbering fields), which is now also the default. This can, however, be changed in the Aquabase Preferences, if e.g. only CAPS should be used for database integrity and search convenience.
WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED SINCE THE LAST VERSION?
- The Notepad had a limited number of characters (4096) which has now been changed to 1024000. It also now has a scrollbar to allow scrolling through the bigger texts. Additionally the previous position and size of the form are remembered between openings of the form.
- Some of the Site Owner, Site Visitor and Testing Details fields did not accept small letters and therefore converted all text to CAPS, This is now possible.
- The User-defined parameter and unit lists for selection in dropdowns did not update after posting as expected (e.g. after adding a new parameter) and was also case insentive. This has been fixed to work as expected.
- A number of smaller bugs were fixed.
